The homeowners wanted to completely rethink how their first floor functioned. The existing kitchen felt undersized and disconnected from the surrounding living spaces, making it difficult to cook, entertain, and spend time together as a family. Their goal was to create a larger, open kitchen by relocating it into the former dining room while improving the flow between the kitchen, family room, sunroom, and dining spaces. They also wanted to refresh the home’s finishes to create a brighter, more cohesive design. 

Hurst Design Build Remodel developed a comprehensive redesign that transformed the main living area into an open, connected space. By relocating the kitchen and removing walls between key living areas, the new layout creates a natural flow for everyday living and entertaining. Custom Omega cabinetry, expansive windows, updated lighting, and carefully selected finishes maximize storage, improve functionality, and fill the home with natural light while preserving a timeless aesthetic.
