Bathrooms

The homeowners wanted to transform an outdated primary bathroom that no longer met their needs. The existing space suffered from an inefficient layout, limited storage, and finishes that felt dated, making it less functional for everyday living. As part of a larger second floor reconfiguration that also included the primary closet and dressing area, they envisioned a luxurious, highly functional retreat complete with a spacious custom shower, freestanding soaking tub, enclosed water closet, heated floors, and custom storage solutions. They also wanted to preserve the home’s architectural character, including an interior window overlooking the family room, while finding a creative way to introduce the privacy expected in a primary bathroom.

Hurst Design Build Remodel reconfigured the primary suite to maximize both comfort and functionality while respecting the home’s original character. The new layout introduced a custom steam shower, freestanding soaking tub, heated flooring, custom Mullet cabinetry, and premium finishes throughout. One of the most distinctive design elements was preserving the original interior window overlooking the family room. By incorporating frosted glass, the team maintained the home’s unique architectural detail while allowing natural light to flow into the space and providing the privacy the homeowners desired. Every design decision was made to create a bathroom that feels elegant, functional, and perfectly tailored to the home.
