Residential Licensed Architect
Responsibilities will include schematic through construction-ready plans, work closely with clients, sales managers, and project managers during the sales and construction process to achieve client and company goals, manage and consult with field staff on changes and resolve issues.
Primary Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited university (preferred) and portfolio of work demonstrating proficiency in plan design and development.
- RA/AIA license required
- 5 years of work experience with a reputable architecture firm, home builder or residential remodeler
- Experience with Design-Build
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, and Chief Architect a plus
- Knowledge of local building codes
- Must understand construction technology and applications relevant to the home remodeling industry
- Knowledgeable of current industry design trends
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Apply knowledge and understanding of building materials, construction methodology, and current design trends to the development of project-specific plans from concept through construction documentation
- Coordinate construction plans with contract documents
- Prepare, submit and monitor permit applications
- Analyze projects for compliance with local zoning ordinances and building codes
- Collaborate with sales team, designers, clients, trade partners and project managers
- Manage project timelines ensuring that milestones are met
Work independently on multiple projects; prioritizing and organizing workflow, and clearly communicating progress with design and construction teammates
