Curb-less Showers & Stand Alone Tubs
Indoors it is still kitchen and bathroom remodels that are tops on homeowners’ lists here in Cuyahoga County. Our design team sees a trend toward resort style bathrooms featuring stand alone tubs and curb-less showers. These showers are not only easy to get in and out of, but they offer a clean and unique aesthetic with the bathroom flooring all one clean line. The trend may have started with accessible home design in mind creating a shower that is wheelchair and walker accessible, but the clean lines and modern styling appeal to homeowners for both aesthetic and practical reasons. Stand alone tubs are also a beautiful new trend. These tubs bring unique design options to the master bath. Some local bathroom renovations Hurst has worked on recently are eliminating the tub all together. Homeowners find that they never use the tub at all and would rather use the space for a beautiful and spacious shower.
Modern Kitchens & Colored Appliances
In the kitchen, many Clevelanders are looking for a more modern look this year. Clean quartz countertops, a little more shine to the tiles, cleaner lines and floating shelves are just some of the touches that are helping to accomplish the modern look and feel in the kitchen. Cuyahoga County overall still leans towards the more traditional or transitional style and many clients are updating the traditional kitchen with colored appliances. These new appliances offer a way to do something new and unique while maintaining a traditional look.
