Kitchens

The homeowners wanted to replace their closed-off, dated kitchen with a brighter, more open space that better reflected the way they lived. While the existing layout limited natural light and made entertaining difficult, they envisioned a kitchen that felt spacious, inviting, and connected to the surrounding living areas. They also wanted additional storage, improved functionality, and high-quality finishes that would complement their home for years to come.

Hurst Design Build Remodel redesigned the kitchen to maximize openness, natural light, and everyday functionality. The new layout created better flow throughout the first floor while incorporating custom Schrock cabinetry, generous work surfaces, and carefully selected finishes that balance classic design with modern convenience. Every detail was planned to create a space that feels bright, welcoming, and perfectly suited for both family life and entertaining.

• Open-concept kitchen with improved flow to the adjoining living spaces

• Spacious center island topped with Calacatta quartzite, providing generous prep space and seating

• Custom Schrock cabinetry with integrated storage solutions and Top Knobs hardware

• GE Monogram refrigerator paired with a thoughtfully designed appliance layout

• Kohler sink complemented by Brizo plumbing fixtures for a refined, functional workspace

• New Ravenna Mosaics backsplash that adds texture and visual interest

• White oak Taverna hardwood flooring, Baird Brothers trim, and Pella windows that enhance the home’s bright, open feel

• Statement pendant lighting, recessed lighting, and under cabinet lighting that provide layered illumination throughout the kitchen

The completed renovation transformed the kitchen into the bright, open gathering space the homeowners envisioned. Improved circulation, custom cabinetry, premium materials, and thoughtfully integrated storage create a kitchen that is equally suited for everyday family life and entertaining while bringing lasting beauty and functionality to the heart of the home.
