About This Project
The Homeowner's Challenge
The homeowners had outgrown their existing kitchen and wanted a space that better supported cooking, entertaining, and everyday family life. Their goals included expanding the kitchen and informal dining area, adding a walk-in pantry, improving the connection to the family room, and creating a brighter, more open layout with increased storage and functionality. They also wanted to refresh adjacent living spaces and enhance the home’s outdoor connection with a new patio.
Hurst's Approach
Hurst Design Build Remodel designed a substantial kitchen addition that expanded both the kitchen and informal dining area while converting the original kitchen into a comfortable sitting room. The renovation included a spacious walk-in pantry, updated family room finishes, new windows throughout the home, and a rebuilt rear patio. Every element was planned to improve circulation, maximize natural light, and create a cohesive first floor designed for gathering and everyday living.
