Chagrin Falls Farmhouse Kitchen

About This Project

The Homeowner's Challenge

The homeowners loved the character of their Chagrin Falls home but wanted a kitchen that felt brighter, more functional, and better suited to everyday living. Their existing oak cabinetry and layout felt dated, and they wanted to preserve the home’s farmhouse charm while creating additional storage, seating, and a more cohesive connection to the surrounding spaces.

Hurst's Approach

Hurst Design Build Remodel refreshed the existing kitchen by refinishing the original Merillat oak cabinetry, adding custom storage above the refrigerator, and incorporating new cabinetry with matching Cambria countertops to expand both workspace and functionality. A new peninsula created a welcoming gathering space, while updated flooring, trim, and finishes were carefully selected to complement the home’s farmhouse character. The result is a kitchen that feels brighter, more organized, and thoughtfully updated without losing its original charm.
