The homeowners wanted to modernize their first floor with a contemporary kitchen that better suited the way they live and entertain. Their existing layout felt compartmentalized, limiting both functionality and the connection between the kitchen and surrounding living spaces. They also wanted a more efficient workflow, increased storage, and a cohesive design throughout the main level. 

Hurst Design Build Remodel reconfigured the first-floor layout to create a more open and connected living environment. The kitchen was redesigned around a large central island, with appliances and plumbing relocated to improve workflow and maximize functionality. Custom cabinetry, premium finishes, new lighting, and updated flooring were paired with architectural improvements throughout the adjoining spaces to create a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

• Mercier engineered hardwood flooring in a herringbone pattern with heated floor underlayment 

• Top Knobs cabinet hardware, Anderson windows, and a Sherwin Williams color palette that complements the home’s modern aesthetic 

• Layered lighting including recessed, task, accent, and decorative fixtures throughout the kitchen and adjoining spaces 

• Custom butler’s pantry and built-in storage that enhance both functionality and entertaining
