Kitchens

The homeowners wanted to transform their dated kitchen into a bright, open space that better suited their lakefront lifestyle. The existing layout limited circulation, storage, and functionality, making it difficult to cook, entertain, and enjoy the surrounding living spaces. They also wanted to improve the adjacent mudroom and laundry area to create better organization for everyday life.

Hurst Design Build Remodel reconfigured the kitchen to create a more efficient, open layout with improved circulation and abundant storage. Appliances and full-height cabinetry were strategically relocated to maximize functionality, while a large center island became the focal point for gathering and entertaining. The renovation also included thoughtful architectural updates, expanded natural light around the fireplace, and a redesigned mudroom and laundry room with custom built-ins that complement the home’s coastal character.

• Expansive center island topped with Cambria Portrush quartz, providing generous prep space and seating
• Custom Omega and Schrock cabinetry with integrated storage accessories and Top Knobs hardware
• Thermador appliance suite including refrigerator, freezer, cooktop, oven, and dishwasher
• Kohler sink paired with Delta plumbing fixtures for a functional and streamlined workspace
• Anatolia tile backsplash complemented by floating wood shelving that adds warmth and display space
• Brazilian cherry hardwood flooring seamlessly integrated with the existing home
• Redesigned mudroom and laundry room featuring custom bench seating, built-in storage, and improved organization
• Pella windows, Trimlite doors, and a Sherwin Williams color palette that brighten the home and enhance its coastal aesthetic
• Layered lighting with recessed fixtures, under cabinet lighting, and decorative pendants throughout the kitche

The completed renovation transformed the home into a bright, welcoming gathering place that embraces its lakefront setting. The improved kitchen layout, custom cabinetry, premium finishes, and thoughtfully designed mudroom create a home that is equally functional for everyday living and ideal for entertaining while enjoying life on the lake.
