Kitchens

The homeowners wanted to reconfigure their Avon Lake home to create a better-functioning kitchen while making the first floor better suited to entertaining. The existing layout did not support the way they wanted to gather with family and friends, and they envisioned a kitchen with improved storage, upgraded appliances, and a direct connection to a dedicated wine room and surrounding entertainment spaces.

Hurst Design Build Remodel reworked the first-floor layout to improve the kitchen, laundry room, and adjoining living spaces. Walls were removed, and structural beams were added to create better flow between the kitchen, game room, billiards room, and TV room. The kitchen was redesigned with custom Mullwoods cabinetry, a large island, premium appliances, and a new pass-through window. A custom glass-enclosed wine room was incorporated nearby, creating a statement feature that supports both entertaining and wine storage.

• Custom Mullwoods cabinetry with Top Knobs hardware

• Large center island with Dekton countertops and seating for casual dining and entertaining

• Panel-ready Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer

• Wolf 36-inch range and Cove dishwasher

• Brizo faucet paired with a Kohler sink

• Chalmers Metalbrick Pearl backsplash from Ceramic Tiles International

• Custom glass-enclosed wine room with dedicated cabinetry and storage

• Marvin pass-through kitchen window

• COREtec Hatfield Maple luxury vinyl flooring throughout the first floor

• Reconfigured layout connecting the kitchen with the game room, billiards room, and TV room

• Updated laundry room and custom cabinetry throughout the surrounding spaces

• Layered recessed, cabinet, accent, and decorative lighting

The completed kitchen serves as the centerpiece of an entertainment-focused first floor. The open layout, professional-grade appliances, durable finishes, and adjoining wine room create a distinctive space designed for cooking, hosting, and spending time with family and friends.
