Kirtland Lodge Style Deck
Exterior and Outdoor Living
About This Project
The Homeowner's Challenge
The homeowners wanted to replace their existing deck with a true outdoor living destination that would take advantage of their wooded property. They envisioned a lodge-inspired retreat featuring multiple outdoor gathering spaces, a covered porch with a see-through fireplace, and durable materials that would blend naturally with the home’s surroundings while providing year-round enjoyment.
Hurst's Approach
Hurst Design Build Remodel designed a multi-level outdoor living addition that combines covered and open-air spaces into one cohesive retreat. The project includes a covered porch, upper sun deck, lower deck, see-through wood-burning fireplace, cedar architectural details, and low-maintenance decking. Every element was carefully selected to complement the home’s architecture while creating comfortable spaces for entertaining, dining, and relaxing outdoors.
