Basements

The homeowners wanted to transform the unfinished portion of their 1930s basement into a sophisticated entertaining space that felt like a natural extension of their historic home. Their vision included a custom wet bar, wine room, media area, and distinctive architectural details that would create a warm, inviting atmosphere for gathering with family and friends while honoring the home’s original character.

Hurst Design Build Remodel reimagined the lower level as a series of connected entertaining spaces centered around a custom wet bar and wine room. Every design decision was made to reflect the home’s historic architecture, from the handcrafted millwork to the custom brickwork carefully selected to match the original exterior brick of the home. Arched openings, a hidden bookshelf door, decorative ceiling details, and thoughtfully integrated appliances blend timeless character with modern convenience, creating a lower level that feels as though it has always been part of the home.
