The homeowners wanted to create a comfortable first-floor in-law suite while improving several hardworking areas of the home. The project needed to add a private bedroom, full bathroom, and closet, while also reconfiguring the existing layout to improve the laundry room, powder room, mudroom, and adjoining hallway. They were looking for a cohesive design that would provide privacy for extended family while making everyday routines more organized and convenient. 

Hurst Design Build Remodel designed a first-floor addition that incorporated a complete in-law suite along with updates to the laundry room, powder room, mudroom, and circulation areas. The work included structural and mechanical improvements, new cabinetry, upgraded plumbing fixtures, custom storage, durable flooring, and refreshed exterior materials. The finished design balances accessibility, comfort, and function while maintaining a consistent look throughout the home.

The completed addition created a private, well-appointed living suite that gives extended family members independence while keeping them comfortably connected to the main home. Updated bathrooms, a more functional laundry room, and custom mudroom storage improve everyday organization, while durable finishes and coordinated materials give the entire project a polished, cohesive appearance.
