Avon Lake Addition
Home Additions & Whole House
About This Project
The Homeowner's Challenge
The homeowners wanted to expand and reconfigure their main living spaces by adding a spacious dining room and opening the kitchen to the surrounding living areas. Their existing layout felt closed off and lacked the space needed for everyday family life and entertaining. They were looking for an addition that would improve the home’s flow while creating a brighter, more functional kitchen and gathering space.
Hurst's Approach
Hurst Design Build Remodel designed a first-floor addition that enlarged the dining area, reworked the kitchen layout, and strengthened the connection between the kitchen, dining room, and living spaces. The remodel included custom cabinetry, natural stone countertops, engineered maple flooring, a new fireplace, updated windows and exterior finishes, and carefully selected materials that blended seamlessly with the original home. Every detail was planned to create an addition that feels like it has always belonged while providing the homeowners with a more comfortable and functional place to gather.
