Fall is the perfect time to begin planning your 2026 home remodel. Learn how Hurst Design Build Remodel’s Discover-to-Build process ensures a seamless, stress-free renovation.
As the leaves change and the air cools in Northeast Ohio, fall becomes more than just a beautiful backdrop; it’s the ideal time to begin planning your next great home transformation.
At Hurst Design Build Remodel, we believe the best remodels start long before hammers hit walls. Beginning your project this fall gives you time to shape your vision, lock in materials, and secure your place on our 2026 build calendar.
In the words of co-founder Pat Hurst, “Everything we do revolves around serving our clients by making the home remodeling experience the best it can be.”
That philosophy drives our entire approach. Our proven design-build process, from Discover through Design, Build, and Sustain, ensures every step is thoughtful, transparent, and aligned with your goals. When you start planning in the fall, you give yourself and your design team the gift of time, time to imagine, collaborate, and create with intention.
1. Discover: Laying the Foundation with Intention
Every successful remodel begins with the Discover phase. During this first phase, our team listens to your goals, understands your lifestyle, and helps define your vision. We hold an initial consultation, tour your home, and explore what’s motivating your remodel.
Starting in the fall allows time for thoughtful planning. You can evaluate your space, discuss ideas, and set clear expectations before the rush of the new year. This early collaboration ensures your project begins with purpose and clarity.
2. Design: Where Your Vision Takes Shape
Once the foundation is set, we begin our Design phase. Divided into three key stages:
- Conceptual Design: Translating ideas into sketches and renderings that bring your vision to life.
- Development Design: Refining architectural and structural details for accuracy and efficiency.
- Detail Design: Selecting materials, finishes, and fixtures that express your personal style.
Beginning design in the fall means you’ll have the time and focus to explore every option. It’s the perfect window to refine your layout, choose materials, and secure premium products without feeling rushed.
3. Build: Precision Meets Craftsmanship
With design complete, the Build phase turns plans into reality. Led by your dedicated Project Manager, our craftsmen and trade partners bring your vision to life with expert coordination and communication at every stage.
Starting the process early ensures that materials are ordered in advance and schedules are strategically aligned. When construction begins, every element, down to the final trim, is ready to go, avoiding springtime bottlenecks.
4. Sustain: Our Commitment Continues
At Hurst, the client relationship doesn’t end when construction wraps. Through our Client & Home Care program, we provide:
- A comprehensive maintenance guide for your remodeled space
- A five-year warranty for lasting peace of mind
- A one-year anniversary inspection to ensure every detail continues to meet our standards.
This proactive care reflects our commitment to craftsmanship and client satisfaction long after your remodel is complete.
Why Fall Planning Wins
- Priority Scheduling: Secure your place on the 2026 production calendar
- Better Lead Times: Order high-end materials now and avoid spring delays.
- More Time for Design: Thoughtful planning leads to beautiful, lasting results.
